Health Coordinator
Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Health Coordinator ensures provision of education, risk reduction, counseling, and referral services regarding HIV/AIDS (including pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis), tuberculosis, viral hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, and other communicable diseases as required by Part 822.5(n).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Nursing, or related health field
Minimum one year of experience in substance use disorder treatment or healthcare settings
Knowledge of communicable disease prevention, harm reduction, and risk assessment
Training or certification in HIV/AIDS counseling and testing preferred
Proficient in EMR documentation
Strong communication and patient advocacy skills
Clinical Director
The Clinical Director reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for all clinical elements of the program, ensuring compliance with OASAS Part 822 regulations.
Required Qualifications
REQUIRED: NYS Licensed Mental Health Professional (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PhD, PsyD) OR Licensed Physician OR Registered Professional Nurse with NYS licensure
- REQUIRED: NYS Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC, CASAC-T, or CASAC-Trainee under supervision)
Minimum two years of clinical supervision experience
Knowledge of OASAS Part 822 regulations and person-centered care principles
Minimum three years full-time experience in substance use disorder treatment at IOP, PHP, or Residential level of care
Case Manager
The Case Manager reports to the Clinical Director and works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patients receive essential services both internally and externally as per clinical, medical, and social needs reflected in the person-centered treatment/recovery plan.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or related behavioral health field
- Minimum one year of experience in substance use disorder treatment or case management
- Knowledge of community resources, referral processes, and care coordination
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to confidentiality (42 CFR Part 2) and professional boundaries
Admissions Director
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field
NYS licensure (LMSW, LMHC, LMFT) preferred
Minimum three years of experience in substance use disorder treatment
Minimum two years experience in intake/admissions at IOP, PHP, or residential level of care
Knowledge of ASAM criteria and level of care determination
Strong understanding of insurance verification, benefits, and authorization processes
Director of Marketing and Outreach
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health, or related field (MBA acceptable for business development focus)
Minimum five years of behavioral health business development experience
Strong clinical knowledge of substance use disorder treatment, diagnosis, and modalities
Budget management and financial responsibility experience
Travel required
Primary Therapist and Counselors
The Primary Therapist provides individual and group counseling utilizing evidence-based practices to support patients in achieving recovery goals. Reports to Clinical Director and attends regular clinical supervision.
Required Qualifications
REQUIRED: Must hold one of the following credentials and work within scope of practice per OASAS Part 819 and NYS Office of Professions:
• CASAC, CASAC-T, or CASAC-Trainee (under supervision)
• LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT
• Licensed Psychologist (PhD, PsyD)
• Other qualified health professional as defined by Part 822
Minimum two years of experience in substance use disorder treatment (may be reduced for newly credentialed counselors under supervision)
Training in at least two evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, Trauma-Informed Care)
Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and person-centered care principles
Strong counseling, communication, and documentation skills
Specialty certifications (EMDR, IFS, Art Therapy) preferred but not required
Medical Director
Oversee all medical aspects of treatment including MAT, medical emergencies, and policy development. Provide medical supervision to all medical staff (NPs, PAs, RNs). Function as part of the treatment team and attend treatment planning meetings. Ensure prescriber coverage without delays and maintain 24/7 availability for emergencies
Required Qualifications
Active NYS medical license (MD or DO)
• Board certification in Addiction Medicine OR Addiction Psychiatry (one of the following):
• American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM) certification
• American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) certification
• Board certification in Psychiatry with added qualification in Addiction Psychiatry
Active DEA registration (federal X-waiver requirement eliminated as of 2023)
Available for consultation, prescribing, and emergency situations
Medical Staff (ARNP, NP, PA, RN)
Conduct MAT assessments and medical evaluations. Monitor patient health status and medication management. Provide emergency medical response. Work under the Medical Director supervision. Maintain clinical documentation per Part 822 standards.
Required Qualifications
Current NYS licensure as Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Registered Nurse
Training in substance use disorder assessment and treatment
CPR and emergency procedures certification with regular refresher training
For NPs/PAs: DEA registration if prescribing controlled substances
Marketing and Outreach Coordinator
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum two years of experience in outreach and marketing in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment
Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment terminology, levels of care, and appropriate placement criteria
Proficient in CRM systems (Salesforce or similar)
Travel required for community events and professional meetings
